About Upholstery Specialist.

For the past thirty five years I have inspected and actioned thousands of repairs for manufacturers and retailers in the North East & West. I was also a founder member of FRN and an agent for Multi Master. I was sole furniture service provider for Fenwicks of Newcastle.

Prior to founding Upholstery Specialist I worked for Dickens Hypermarkets as Head of Customer Service responsible for handling all furniture related complaints for the companies five stores. I was brought into the company to set up a centralised service department, after three years B&Q purchased Dickens bringing my role and other staff at head office to an end. I negotiated a contract to continue servicing the furniture that was under warrantee at the time of the takeover.

This started me off as an independent service upholsterer and Upholstery Specialist was born. Prior to Dickens I worked for Conroys Ltd. I set-up the central service department that covered the companies six stores in the North East.

Prior to Conroys, I worked for SCS in the role of Service Inspection Manager and later as Quality Control Manager based at their Head Office in Sunderland.

Prior to SCS I worked for House Beautiful Ltd manufacturing quality furniture.
